There are very select places in India which are a delight for every off-beat wedding photographer. Hampi is one such destination at the top of this list. A little different from the regular beach and sunshine weddings this story was more of an archaeological expedition both for the couple and me. The architectural heritage of Hampi is just magnificent. The marvelous rock cuttings and splendid ancient temples not only just give a perfect setting for a religiously rich wedding event but are a treat for the photographer as well. I jumped in when Amritha and Rohit contacted me to shoot their wedding event. Amritha is a architect and so her choice of the destination was just apt for their wedding to be etched in stone forever.
It was a timeless wedding shoot. The temple’s background had a story to themselves which kind of blended in with the couple’s feeling. Felt as if I was shooting some prince and princess from the era of the great kings. At least Amritha and Rohit got soaked in to the vibrations of the holy air. Both the days of this splendid South Indian wedding passed away in a jiffy and I had an accomplished feeling at the end of it. The wedding event at the Hyatt Palace Hampi complemented the grandeur. Amritha was dressed as a sweat south Indian bride and Rohit was looking bold and dashing in contrast. Here are some pictures from this timeless event.
